Simple Chinese Cooking - by Kylie Kwon
On the 10th of April, 2006 at Cibo Ristorante in North Adelaide, our Protero 2005 Chardonnay was selected for the third course on the degustation menu, to launch Kylie Kwon's new book "Simple Chinese Cooking".
The five course menu was conceived by Kylie Kwong and Salvatore Pepe. Our 2005 Protero Chardonnay made a wonderful accompaniment to:

Great new find for the year, Protero 2004 Viognier from the Adelaide Hills Sth Australia. Tiny producer, but has so nailed this grape with the most elegant example I have ever seen in Australia. White peach, hints of apricot and an all important underlying minerality and acidity that keeps it moving and finishes clean. I have matched it with pan roasted barramundi with spiced calamari, speck and cauliflower on the degustation and it has been a huge success by the glass.
